About Me

Hi, my name is Bethany, and I am the owner and creator behind Life Succs Without Plants in Bakersfield, Ca. This fun business was started as simple Christmas gifts. In 2017, my son and I created over 30 succulent mugs and candlestick planters for the staff at his school. They were such a hit and I had so much fun making them, that I started thinking about creating a small business to make more succulent creations to sell as gifts and home decor! I threw around the idea with my husband, which then we joked about different names. We immediately came up with 'Life Succs Without Plants', and I ran with it. Now here I am, fully loving and enjoying my fun "job"! My husband, Jesse, is a big help and supporter of my business- he deserves credit for all this too. He even created the amazing logo on the home page and as shown below!

I run this business out of my home- I grow my own various types of succulents in our garden, and have a large greenhouse. The containers I use for planting are unconventional- I love to search for vintage or rustic items, and anything unusual I come across. Let me know if I can make something special for you!
